Unearthing your Stories - workshop
Join us for a new one-off writing workshop on generating ideas, with Sukie Wilson.
This workshop focuses on one often overlooked step in the writing process: the ideas-phase. In this two-hour session participants will be introduced to various paths into a creative headspace, methods of generating ideas, and ways to move from idea to story. Special attention will be given to methods of working around, through, and with chronic illness & disability. At the end of the workshop there will be a guided opportunity to experiment with the techniques learned, followed by a brief Q&A.
Sukie Wilson, award winning short story writer, will be facilitating the workshop. Sukie won the 2024 Desperate Literature prize for short fiction, and is an awardee of the 2025 London Writers Awards. Their work has appeared in The London Magazine, and is anthologised in both the 2024 Desperate Literature prize collection and the 2024 Brick Lane Bookshop Prize anthology.
